Mehwer ” ‘Dyspepsia – Indigestion” Herbal Mix
Drinking this herbal tea is a simple and effective way of easing the symptoms of an upset stomach as well as for the treatment of upper gastrointestinal disorders including abdominal discomfort, ulcers, bloating and flatulence, heartburn, reflux, nausea, and stomach pain. It also has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, anti-fungal, and anti-oxidant properties. It may also help relieve constipation and promote bowel movement.
Ingredients
Fennel (Foeniculum Vulgare), Cretan Dittany (Origanum Dictamnus), Peppermint (Mentha Piperita), Sage (Salvia Fruticosa/Triloba), Lemon Balm (Melissa Officinalis), Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra)
Herbal Tea Brewing Instructions
- Hot Brew
- Heat the water to just the point when it starts to boil.
- Add 1 teaspoon of loose tea, to a tea infuser or tea bag, for 180ml – 240ml of water.
- Pour the heated water (right off the boil) over the tea, cover your cup, and steep for 7-10 minutes or longer.
- Add honey or stevia for sweetness, if desired.
- Cold Brew
A cold infusion delivers flavours that are sweeter, smoother, more complex, and can be made in a number of different ways.
