Cleavers (Galium Aparine) is a powerful herb used in Ayurveda. a valuable lymphatic tonic and diuretic by many herbalists. used to clean gravel and urinary stones and to treat urinary infections. The herb does not have any side effects that may threaten your health.
Hairs and prickles cover most parts of this plant which make it cling to clothing and fur – so familiar to walkers and gardeners. The square shaped stem supports small, round fruits, little white flowers and thin leaves in swirls of 6-8.
As per many studies, cleavers lower the blood pressure without affecting the heart rate. It is used to treat a wide range of diseases both internal and external used as Choleretic, stomachic, diuretic, refrigerant, lymphatic, alterative, antiscorbutic, detoxifier; non-steroidal anti-inflammatory used for enlarged lymph nodes, especially cervical neck nodes, cystic and nodular changes in the glands, modular goitre. Used as a cleansing drink for malignant conditions and skin disorders, including psoriasis. This native annual is known to cling to anything brushing by it. It is used as a cooling and soothing lymphatic tonic to treat conditions associated with the build up of toxins, including edema, tonsillitis, and eczema.
